Kurt Zenz House

Kurt studies and develops methods for large-scale capture and storage of anthropogenic carbon dioxide. He co-invented and patented electrochemical weathering, a novel process to produce CO2 negative cement and concrete by accelerating the ocean’s natural ability to absorb carbon dioxide, and he co-founded a venture-capital-backed company that is involved in the CO2 mitigation business. Kurt received his Bachelor's degree in Physics from the Claremont College in 2001, and his Ph.D. in Geoscience from Harvard University in 2008. While at Harvard he co-founded the Harvard Energy Journal Club to facilitate cross-disciplinary discussions about energy science, energy technology, and energy business.
